Our Sångesätern In the autumn of 1993, we saw a small two-line apartment ad in DN that appealed to us: "Secluded location by the lake, Värmland, farm 80 m², outbuildings." We fell in love with the house, the location, and the village of Sunnemo. Since then, for over 30 years, we have spent a large part of our free time here at Sångesätern. We have drilled for water, installed sewers, cleared forests, replaced roofs, panels, and windows, built the "Sjöbryggan" (pier) on the lake for swimming and boating, decorated the "Sjöstugan" (lake cabin), and planted apple trees. We have enjoyed our free time swimming, fishing, and simply lazing around. We have celebrated weddings and Christmas, explored the countryside with its history and culture, visited flea markets, farm shops, and bakeries, and picked mushrooms and berries. The location of the singers' residence is unique. The house is located separately, the only house on Lake Sången, but still close to Sunnemo, which has a grocery store, gas station, bus stop, church, and school. Now it's time for someone else to enjoy the place and make it their own. And we hope that the next manager will have as much joy and success in this gem of Värmland as we have. This is a place to be happy.
